What to do?
So I need a good and fun job that allows me to make a difference in this world somehow. I also need a place to live in Sacramento that is a good price. I don't think anyone reads this so it's more for me I guess. Maybe some random strangers will read my blog! I need to find a job! What shall I do??

Asheville and Chapel Hill NC
If you ever get a chance to go to Asheville, NC you must take a trip to the Biltmore Estate. It's fabulous. It's the largest home in America. I can't imagine living there in the early 1900's. It would have been pretty amazing. 42 restrooms, an indoor swimming pool, a pastry kitchen and rotisserie kitchen, indoor bowling alley, tons of rooms, an amazing amount of land...truly an awesome house. I suppose when you are worth in todays standards over 900 billion though, you can afford a place like that. North Carolina is pretty. I can only imagine what it would look like in the fall. Trees painted red, gold, purple, orange and every other color. Chapel Hill so far what I have seen is a cute town. Very hippie, especially the neighboring town of Carboro. Last night Cathay, her friend Claire and I went to an Experimental Philosophy talk and then listened to an indie rock band female singer sing russian songs by an indie rock russian singer who died a while back. Quite an interesting night. I actually bought the cd. www.alinasimone.com. She's good, check her out. I'll be spending tomorrow here as well and take off on Friday the 8th for Washington DC. Not sure if I'll spend the night there or what. I want to be in Phili on Saturday and Sunday to hang out with Marie. Hopefully she's there. Then it's on to New York City. Not sure what to do about my car. Maybe leave it at the airport in long term parking for like two days and take a shuttle into the city? Not sure how that will go. I've got a little less than a month to get back around the U.S. for Esther's wedding! So I've not got much time left. I'm hoping Boston will be awesome. Who knows, maybe I'll move there and keep Esther company for a while. Alrighty, well not much more to post for now. I posted my pics on myspace. Check em out!

Asheville, NC
From Springfield, MO to Nashville, TN. Passed through Memphis. It was rather ghetto. Downtown Nashville was fun enough. Tennessee is pretty, as is the rest of the south. Rolling hills mostly and trees. Ate salt water gator and salt water shark in Newton, Alabama. They were actually pretty good. Got a tarot card reading. Now in Asheville. Going to spend a day at the Biltmore estate tomorrow and head out on Tuesday morning for Raleigh. I'll post pictures tomorrow after I visit the Biltmore estate.

Texarkana to Hot Springs to Springfield
So I hung out in Texarkana until the 23rd. I picked Lacy and Ian up from the airport in Dallas on the 19th and we visited family. On the 23rd we left for Hot Springs. It's very pretty in Hot Springs, but there are a lot of poor folks and run down places as well. We went searching for Fire Flies at night and rolled down a grassy hill. Quite fun =) On the 24th we left for Springfield, MO. Northern Arkansas is mountainous with the Ozarks, has lots of trees and is very green and pretty. So far in Springfield I've only been visiting my grandparents. Lacy and Ian went hiking in the Ozarks and will be back in the afternoon on the 26th. We leave for Nashville on the 28th and will be there until the 30th. I'll try and update if we see or do anything neat. Talk to ya'll soon! If you want a postcard, send me your mailing address through my gmail account. Thanks!!

Texarkana
| Ok so I've been in Texarkana since Tuesday, July 8th. I just don't have access to the internet really so I haven't updated this. I've been hanging out with family mainly. Lacy and Ian fly in on the 19th and we will be here until the 23rd. The night of the 23rd we are staying in Hot Springs, Arkansas and driving to Springfield on the 24th. I'll be in Springfield from the 24th until the 28th. From there we will be in Nashville, TN from the 28th to the 30th. Lacy and Ian fly back to Sacramento on the 30th and I'll continue on to Asheville, NC. I'll update tomorrow with pictures if I can. I didn't realize my grandparents have a wireless router. Sorry this is all so boring! Nothing exciting to tell. I did get to go to a Sprint Car Race and see some goats at the Fair Grounds. That's about the most Redneck thing you can do. And yes, my accent comes and goes easily. I'm trying to stick to my Californian accent, but that Southern Accent is coming back with avengeance!! I'll bring my laptop tomorrow and upload pics and type some more! Bye ya'll! |

Cypress, CA to Albuquerque, NM- Day 1
Ok so I'm alive and made it to Albuquerque. I left at 6:30 this morning and made it to Alb at 6:30 pm. I stopped for lunch and gas, but I literally stopped only twice. Yes twice in 12 hours. I just wanted to get here before it got dark. I only took a few pictures. I was going to try and get out and take a pic with me by each state sign, but realized that's too dangerous unless no cars are around. So I did manage to think to snap a pic of the New Mexico sign as I was driving. I'm staying at the La Quinta off of the 25. It's clean. Not great. Enjoy the pics! I'm going to eat and watch The Bachelorette. OH and I didn't think to snap pics while driving until after Flagstaff. Flagstaff is pretty, but I don't know if I would live there. And so far I would live no where along Highway 40. Tomorrow off to Texarkana!!
